The challenge
Curious Questions sends one reflective question by text each week, so for the reader it has to feel effortless: no app, no account. The hard part is underneath. Doing it properly means carrier-compliant delivery that runs on its own every week, never double-sends or silently fails, and stays measurable as it grows.
What we built
- The full Curious Questions website and subscriber experience
- A subscription flow with confirmed (double) opt-in and automatic STOP and HELP handling
- Carrier-registered business messaging, recognized and trusted by the mobile carriers
- A self-correcting weekly send that never double-messages anyone and retries a failed delivery on its own
- Automatic posting to Instagram that turns each week's question into a branded image
- A full analytics data warehouse built with dbt, with automated content moderation on every response
The results
- Built and shipped end to end with AI coding agents (Claude Code and Codex)
- Live in production since March 2026, sending every Sunday with no manual steps
- Carrier-approved messaging that the networks classify and trust at the carrier level
- A 100+ question library, over two years of weekly questions, delivered automatically
- 27 modeled data tables keep the whole system measurable and auditable as it grows
